3 Concept and Implementation

In this work, an MPSoC architecture with a distributed memory system was developed. The MPSoC architecture also allows adding tightly coupled hardware accelerators with the PEs or loosely coupled accelerators as a PE themselves. The implementation of the proposed work is divided into four subsections; first, a brief overview of the test applications and their constraints are presented, then the RISC-V architecture used as a PE is described, followed by the NoC architecture used to develop the MPSoC and finally, an overview of the overall MPSoC architecture is described along with the HW/SW co-design of the system.
